One of my neighbors is an incredible photographer. He specializes in 1890s photography using actual cameras from the era. He has a whole wall of those big box cameras in his studio. It sometimes takes upwards of a year to pull together a set for just one image. He just finished a book he had printed in Italy. He's pretty spectacular. Anyway, after he finished his book, he and his partner cleaned out years of stuff out of their house, studio, dark room, and backyard storage. They gave me a box full of luxurious textiles and garments from that clearing out. And this beautiful black and purple brocade made for a beautiful cell phone-sized bag. If you look close you can see a floral pattern in this fabric. The lining and wristlet are hand-dyed bedsheeting.
This functional upcycled handmade bag is unique in that it can be worn 3 different ways: As a crossbody, a hipbag (fanny pack-ish) also known as a belt bag, or carried as a clutch.
The bag is 6x7, with a 50" adjustable and removable shoulder strap and an 8" removable wristlet, it is stabilized with interfacing and has a coordinating zipper. Perfect for a phone, a wallet and a few other things - makes a great festival bag.
Hand wash and lay flat to dry. Smoke free/pet friendly.
Color variations can occur between monitors. Please message me with any questions you may have.
