A few years ago someone gave me a really dirty Ikea sofa cover -- their dogs had been laying on for quite some time. I ended up having to wash it about 6 times in order to get it to a place where it could be dyed. I cut it up into smaller segments and dyed it several different colors. This piece went into the black bucket towards the end, so it's a nice, smooth gray. I combined it with this custom happy pink peni fabric, and hand-dyed bedsheeting. I freehand machine embroidered complimentary imagery on the denim segment. The lining and wristlet are hand-dyed bedsheeting.
This 10.5x8 two-sided clutch is one of a couple of medium sized clutches you'll find in my shop, it can be used not only for notions but it's cute enough to carry as a small purse or to put anything else your heart desires in it. It has a detachable handle and is stabilized with interfacing so it feels very sturdy.
Hand wash and lay flat to dry. Smoke free/pet friendly.
