A Bucket Hat touched two lives
A number of years ago this beautiful human being and I pioneered trans choral singing in Los Angeles. We created the first trans chorus group in LA and the group quickly rose to stardom and had huge things on the horizon. Unfortunately, the board had other lesser ideas and she and I, while still close like family, had to go our separate ways. Yesterday, was her birthday, we hadn't seen each other since before the pandemic so it was great fun spending the day with her family and our mutual friends.
I made the outside of this reversible bucket hat with denim and bed sheeting and the reversible lining is a fun rainbow psychedelic print. There's another amazing story about the denim that I'll share in the next post.
