This traditional Bagh print came from a really beautiful skirt that I loved dearly and hung on to for years. Thankfully but sadly, I never got to the size necessary to actually wear it. It was just too pretty to not use. Bagh print is one of an unnumberable amount of hand block prints made in India, each specific to the community in which it's produced. The natural colors of Red and black are used and practiced in Bagh town in the Indian State of Madhya Pradesh. The red canvas is from an Ikea drape and alsobwhat I used to custom make my logo on a tablecloth or hanging tapestry for my festival booth. The lining and wristlet are from the same drape.
It's 8"x9" and is the smallest of my project bags, it can hold up to 2 hanks of fine yarn and is good for a pair of socks or a one skein shawl/scarf. It can also carry craft supplies, accessories, or any other kind of items a bag can traditionally be used for. It has a detachable handle and is stabilized with interfacing so it easily stands on its own.
Hand wash and lay flat to dry. Smoke free/pet friendly.
