This handmade messenger bag is upcycled from a couple of interesting garments. The outside flap is an old men's wool blazer, or what some call a suit coat. The lining and pockets are made from a former bedsheet and the tan and white paisley fabric used to be someone's drapery.
The bag is stabilized with interfacing and can stand easily stand on its own. The decorative buttons on the front are vintage from my grandmother's collection and they compliment the new gold buckle and double D-ring closure at the bottom. It is has 6 pockets, including the working blazer pocket on the flap.
The bag itself is 13"w x 10"h
The 2"w strap is adjustable and is 58" long
The blazer pocket is 6.5"w x 6.5"h
The pocket under the flap on the outside of the bag is 5 1/4"w x 4 3/4"h
The inside zipper pocket on the back wall is 8 1/2"w x 5 1/2"h
The big pocket on the front inner wall is 11"w x 8"h
The two smaller pockets mounted on top of the front inner wall is 4 1/2"w x 4 1/2"h.
