This panel was dyed using acid dyes and the fabric is a machine embroidered linen cotton blend and is an Indian textile known as PHULKARI from the Punjab region. Phulkari literally translates to "flower work" -- google it, the hand embroidered versions are simply stunning. So this piece has a fantastic drape and would make a great shawl, window covering, skirt, wall hanging or any other number of creative things that you can think of. There is one photo in this grouping showing the full piece (not very well lit either, sorry -I struggle with lighting big pieces), the rest are close-ups of it folded in my light box so you may see the quality of the fabric and the dye up close.
This piece doesn't have a finished edge but I'd be happy to add one for you. Also, I can also install hanging tabs if you like too -- be sure to choose what you'd like in the options.
There is only one of these panels, please only choose one option when purchasing.
